Leather and Its Wide Popularity

Leather is one of the most popular fabrics in today’s time. Although many fabrics are available in market but leather has maintained its popularity all these years. Due to its high durability and aesthetic value leather is everyone’s favorite. Basically leather is skin of small animals and hides of big animals. It is collected from vast variety of animals like horse, whales, buffalo, ox, sharks, sheep, cow, pig, lizards, goat, snakes, calf, bony fish and seals. Now-a-days hide of kangaroo and camel is also being used.

Earlier leather was used as protection against bad weather but now it is considered as fashionable thing.  Now people like to get in to leather apparels and accessories irrespective of season.

Leather jackets are highly popular among bikers as it provides them with safety, durability and good looks. Earlier leather was only used to create jacket but with increasing popularity it is used to make accessories like leather wallets, leather pouches, leather belts, leather mementos, leather shoes, leather gifts and leather purses etc.

Acceptance of leather in fashion industry has enhanced its popularity. Fashion designers use leather as a medium to show their creativity. Increasing use of leather fabric by designers to create design has made leather more fashionable.

Coats are available in huge variety like Trench coat, Top coat, Car coat, Opera coat, Duffle coat, Suit coat, Down coat, Sport coat etc.

Although leather is highly durable fabric but it can lose its essence if you don’t care for it properly. As leather is skin of animal it is important to care of it as you do for your own skin. Just little bit of timely care help you to preserve your leather accessories and apparels for long time.
