Leather Vests - How to Combine Them

Americans call them vests; the English call them waistcoats but most people with an inkling of style call them their favorite wardrobe pieces. If you think vests look good then you must try leather vests. They take style, trend and chic to a whole new level. Just like any well-fitting blazer, the best leather vests should always be custom made to suit your exact requirements. They should never be too large or too small for you or it kills the entire effect. A great place to custom order your leather vest is online. Not only is made to your exact body proportions but is also way cheaper than if you go out looking for leather vests in department stores and boutiques. You also save a ton of time and energy.

Remember, when you find yourself the perfect leather waistcoat its very figure flattering. Read below the tips to finding the perfect leather vest:
•    The waist of your vest must sit snugly
•    It should not be too short where it makes the body look like the waist is too high while at the same time it should not be too long where it drowns out the figure completely.
•    Make sure the arm holes are not too wide.
•    The neckline of the waist coat should never be too high to resemble a shirt.

A leather vest must be combined right for the best effect. Undoubtedly, vests belong below a blazer but time and fashion has moved on tremendously from then. Leather vests can now be combined with almost anything. Women can combine a nice grey leather vest with a lemon yellow tank top. Make sure a bit of the tank top peeks out from the neck of the waist coat and a bit from below. Ensure that your tank top does not peek out from the armpits or from the sides though – at least not too much of it because then it just looks like a misfit. If you want to try going different, then go for the hippie vintage look. Combine a deep brown leather vest with a fun and floral short dress with 3/4th sleeves. Add a bright flower to your tresses, a long dangling chain and your retro look is complete. Your leather vest would probably look best with a nice solid colored shirt. If you want to wear a printed tee, try wearing your leather vest open. Always ensure that you look proportional. If you wish to wear your leather vest as a top itself, a look popularized by Miss Beckham, then combine it with wide legged pants or relaxed low rider jeans. However, make sure that you select a demure vest. It should be well fitting, but you shouldn’t show too much midriff or cleavage, plus you must make sure the arm holes don’t go too low, showing your bra.

Men always have it simpler. Always select solid colored leather vests for yourself. Make it a color that suits you, and a color that will look nice for best results.
