Minor scratches can be easily fixed. first determine the material of boot if it is made up of leather you can fix the scratches just by leather lotion.it will aslo prevent further crack.Try to use a clean soft cloth to apply leather lotion and wipe your boot neatly.this will make your boot smooth.If your boot is made up of suede you should use dry cleaning bar instead of lotion.dry cleaning bar is act like a pencil eraser.The scratches on the sued boots can be erased with cleaning bar easily.

If your boot has problem of leaks then go for waterproofing products such as mink oil.Apply this oil and let them dry after that for better protection use water-proofing spray.
